Sound Source Localization Methods Based on Lagrange-Galerkin Spherical Grid

The sound source localization method based on the Steered-Response Power with Phase Transform (SRP-PHAT) is one of the most popular localization methods at present. It can obtain more accurate acoustic localization results in a weak noise and moderate reverberation environment. However, due to the large number of points to be searched, the SRP-PHAT localization method using grid search will result in a huge amount of calculation and poor real-time performance. Therefore, this paper uses a hierarchical search method based on Lagrange-Galerkin spherical grids to improve it. A simulation experiment was carried out, and the results showed that the positioning accuracy and real-time positioning of the search method have been improved to a certain extent, compared with the grid search method.
