Enhancing the Figure of Merit in Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensors with a Wedge-Shape Au Thin Film

We show the design, fabrication, and characterization of a wedge-shape Au thin film for integrating multiple surface plasmon resonance transducers in a single chip, which enhances the figure-of-merit by the reflectivity change with an attenuated-total-reflection setup upon modulating the wavenumber of surface plasmon polariton with the thickness of Au.
