Inflection in Hysteresis and Haze of PDLC Devices by Ferroelectric Nanoparticle

Polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) are potential candidates for scattering based technologies. The effect of the inclusion of barium-titanate (BaTiO
3
) nanoparticle having a size of 5 - 10 nm has been investigated on hysteresis and haze of PDLC films. The properties are significantly modified on the addition of BaTiO
3
nanoparticles.
