Discussion on Lightning Indirect Effects Test of DO160

Two topics are discussed in this paper, one is the incomplete stress of lightning indirect effect test in DO160 Section22, and the other is the indirect effect of ultra strong transient electric field just before lightning channel is closed. The paper analyzes and expounds the possible problems or their causes from the main coupling mechanism of the propagation of lightning electromagnetic field from the outside to the interior of the aircraft, as well as the lightning indirect effects produced on the airborne equipment of metal or composite aircraft. Finally, reasonable suggestions for supplement and improvement are given.
