Complicated Burst-type Oscillations of Astrocytic Spontaneous Calcium Concentration

In this work, dynamics of recently introduced Lavrentovich-Hemkin mathematical model was examined numerically. Complicated dynamical regimes were circumstantially studied by calculations of time traces, bifurcation diagrams and lyapunov exponents. The mechanisms of various burst-type calcium concentration oscillatory modes development with the change of the maximal calcium flux from the astrocytic cytosol to endoplasmic reticulum and vice versa, were examined.
