An Intelligent Security Model for Online Banking Authentication

Online banking services have become the most used services on the Internet, as the end-user can manage their bank transactions and accounts without having to physically go to a bank. Security issues’ regarding authentication need to be taken into account. Financial institutions should consider integrating multi-factor authentication with Fast Identity Online (FIDO) in order to eliminate the usage of passwords and use keys that support FIDO standards. This paper presents the use of FIDO protocol that enables multi-factor authentication.
