Development of an Automatic Instrument to Make a Concavo-convex Non-Woven Patterned Sheet

Suitable packing for the sensitive fruit is important, when they are exported. We proposed the special sheet that consists of a flat non-woven cloth and a concavo-convex shaped cloth. Although making task by the handmade is simple, it is hard work. It is desirable to develop the automatic instrument to generate the special sheet. To realize the instrument, it is necessary to develop two instruments; bending mechanism and welding mechanics. The instrument of bending was developed in previous study. In this paper, the instrument of welding is developed and is corporate with bending instrument. First, the suitable force to weld the cloths is investigated, and the mechanism to add the suitable force is developed. Next, the characteristics of the special sheet made by the developed mechanism is confirmed. We confirm that the special sheet has better property than flat cloth. Final, the instrument of welding is developed, and the special sheet is generated automatically. The heights of the concvex shape are the almost same. It is clear that the development of the automatic instrument for the special sheet is realized.
