Simultaneous Channel Phased-Array Calibration Using Orthogonal Codes and Post-Coding

An alternative approach to calibrating arrays is presented that employs orthogonal CDMA coding on all elements to allow for simultaneous channel measurements. Additionally, a technique for post-coding the channel codes to correct phase shifter non-idealities is demonstrated. These techniques are demonstrated on a 5G phased array at 28 GHz demonstrating the methods effectiveness.
