Study of Efficient Automatic Detection of Coplanarity and Position of CCGA Devices

An efficient and fast method to detect the position and coplanarity of pins is obtained by combining optics and laser in this study. By using the optical camera to position, enlarge and auto focus the ceramic column grid array (CCGA) device, adjusting the light source of lens to realize the transformation of light and dark field, the pin can be accurately identified, and the pin image within the field of view can be collected through the rapid automatic contour capture technology, the pin coordinate can be efficiently extracted, and the device position data can be calculated quickly. Then, the coplanarity calculation would be figured out by scanning the pin height data with a line laser. Through a variety of means such as measuring microscope, the parameters of the detection method and equipment settings are optimized. The coplanarity and position of CCGA devices are detected conveniently, efficiently and quickly, and the detection efficiency and accuracy are significantly improved.
