A THz spectroscopy study of the electrical properties of graphene thin films post-transfer

We present terahertz time domain spectroscopy measurements of graphene thin films subject to varying success in the transfer process. The complex conductivity extracted from the time domain measurements gives a clear indication that the quality of the transfer process directly impacts the electrical properties of the graphene. Successfully transferred graphene films show a three-fold improvement of the carrier mobility, as well as a lower scattering rate and carrier density.
