Terahertz Biomedical Application Research

We reviewed the recent progress in applications of Terahertz waves in biomedical research, summarized the relevant methods with their advantages and disadvantages. In addition, we proposed a three-step one-way terahertz model, providing detailed flow analysis for terahertz technology in the biomedical detection: 1) Biomarker determination; 2) Mixture interference removal; and 3) Individual difference removal. These results have profound implications for the rapid, accurate and early detection of diseases.
