Construction typologies for energy upgrade in terms of thermophysical analysis and operational measurements in non residential buildings

The energy efficiency along with decarbonisation and renewable energy systems to the construction sector set restrictions and measurable goals which are defined in the energy and environmental policy and also clearly supported by national and European legislation and standards. The paper focuses on the evaluation of typical construction typologies in terms of energy and emissions as well as an initial presentation of the construction sections' operation in case of thermal radiance exposure. Furthermore, the construction scenarios selected were evaluated in terms of thermophysical analysis in correlation with the primary energy consumption, CO2 emissions and in situ measurements. Based on the results of the measurements in correlation with the thermophysical analysis useful conclusions derived in terms of energy efficiency and CO2 emissions. Nevertheless, there is need of further investigation towards alternative configurations of the façades, such as ventilation as well as more innovative and technical efficient construction materials.
