Multi-UAV Task Assignment Based on Secondary Distribution

In order to take full advantages of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) cluster and coordinate the relationship between the UAV capability and mission complexity, multi-UAV task assignment is an important problem to be solved urgently, and also one of the research hotspots and difficulties in the current drone swarm field. Considering the typical application scenario for ground multi-target reconnaissance by means of UAV cluster, this paper focuses on multi-UAV task assignment and its collocation optimization. Firstly, a multi-objective optimization model is proposed, and the intelligent optimization algorithm is adopted to solve the model; the primary distribution result of multi-UAV is consequently obtained. Then, with the single optimization objective for improving the positioning accuracy of ground targets, the secondary multi-UAV task assignment is executed in accordance with which the UAVs would achieve their most appropriate spatial locations for increasing the reconnaissance success rate purposes. Finally, the validity of whole solution including task pre-assignment and re-assignment is verified by simulation analysis.
