An AIM-Based Identification for Time Delay of Sinusoidal Signals with Unknown Frequency

This paper presents a method based on adaptive internet model to identify the time delay, the frequency and the amplitude of sinusoidal signals received from two spatially separated sensors. Slow integral manifold, averaging method, Lyapunov stability theorem are used in sequence to analyze the exponential convergence property, the dynamic performance and the ultimate boundedness under bounded disturbance. The advantages of the proposed technique are revealed in the following aspects: the little effect of the actual value of the signal frequency on the ultimate convergence property and the little effect of the actual value of the signal amplitude on the convergence speed, the adjustable boundary values of the identification errors of amplitude, frequency and delay time by tuning the three design parameters. Simulation results verify the validity.
