Analysis and Prediction of Influencing Factors in Marine Repair Period

This paper proposes a marine repair period analysis and prediction model based on principal component analysis (PCA). The model performs factors affecting the marine repair period, and provides a feasible method for predicting the marine repair period. The empirical conclusion shows that the eight initial factors that affect the repair cycle of “SC” marines only formed four types of factors after conversion with PCA and FA, and degraded the predicted risk of marine repair period by reducing the number of influencing factors. From the prediction results, the prediction error rate of the repair cycle of the “SC” type marine is only -3.62 % and 4.28 %. The prediction results show that the relative errors predicted are small and can meet the requirements of higher accuracy, which can verify the practicality of this method.
