Design of Compact Wideband BPF Based on DGS-HMSIW

In this paper, a novel slow-wave defected ground structure (DGS) is loaded on the upper surface of the half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW), and compact wideband DGS-HMSIW filter with high harmonic suppression and low insertion loss (IL) is designed. The sizes of DGS-HMSIW filter is 24×8.8 mm

. For further demonstration, the designed BPF is fabricated and measured. The measured results are basically consistent with the simulation results, verifying the feasibility of the DGS-HMSIW filter design proposed in this paper.
