Cogging Torque Performances Evaluation of Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motor Using Finite Element Analysis

This paper mainly deals with the pole embrace and cogging torque to analyze and performance of permanent magnet DC motor. The PMBLDC motor will be designed for specific dimensions and to analysis the torque, distribution of magnetic field forces and under static and dynamic conditions. The main disadvantage in PMBLDC motor is the speed of the motor and also efficiency which is affects by the cogging torque. In the design of the motor we have to the minimize pole embrace and cogging torque in the motor. It mainly depends on the analysis of Thermal analysis, Flux density, Flux distribution, Magnetic vector, Current density, voltages, and current signals waveforms.
