Active Disturbance Rejection Control of High Power Electrically Excited Synchronous Motor

Two sets of winding current independent control are widely used in vector control of high power stator double winding synchronous motor, the difference of two sets of winding parameters and the coupling between windings bring some difficulties to regulator parameter tuning in practical application. Therefore, a novel control strategy of average and difference of two sets of winding current is proposed to replace traditional independent control, and Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) is introduced into the speed control loop of the control system. The reference voltage vector equations of the double winding current average control and differential control with voltage feed-forward based on M and T axis are analyzed, the coupling (internal disturbance) between windings and the load disturbance (external disturbance) are taken as the disturbance of the speed loop ADRC, which are observed and compensated by ADRC. Simulation results verify the feasibility of the control strategy, compared with the traditional PI regulator, ADRC improves the static and dynamic speed performance of the system. Finally, experimental results verify the effectiveness of the control algorithm of average and difference of two sets of winding current.
