Automated Detection of Insects in Lidar Data

Lidar instruments have recently been developed for detecting insects during flight. However, insect detection algorithms are needed for automating the tedious, manual detection process. We report the use of a Subspace Discriminant classifier to detect insects in lidar data collected in the field.
