An Electromagnetically Transparent and Microbial Corrosion Resistant Nanoscale Protective Coating

Numerous applications nowadays require radiofrequency devices to be directly positioned in adverse environments, leading to microbial corrosion and failures. This research presents a new type of electromagnetically transparent and microbial corrosion resistant nanoscale protective coating using a two-dimensional layer of hexagonal Boron Nitride on copper for radiofrequency applications between 1 to 10 GHz.
