Characteristic Mode Analysis for Analyzing and Optimizing Plasmonic Nanostructures

Recently, Characteristic Mode Analysis (CMA) has received rising interest in many applications. In this paper, we review the CMA for the analysis and optimization of 1D, 2D, and 3D nanostructures for the applications of sensor design and the nondestructive evaluation of nanostructure composites.
