Study on Acoustic Scattering Characteristics of Fish

Using acoustic method to study the fish monitoring technology in aquaculture vessels has many advantages, such as reducing the pressure of the marine environment and improving the quality of fish. The target strength of fish is the main parameter of monitoring and estimation, and it is usually researched by the model approach. In this paper, acoustic scattering theory and KRM model were used to calculate and evaluate the acoustic scattering characteristics and the target strength of fish, and relevant experiments were designed to measure the target strength of fish in the field. The experimental results verified the rationality of KRM method, which provided a theoretical basis for fish breeding on the industrial ship.
