Establishment of Electromagnetic Model of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for Electric Machine Emulator

For the motor model of the electric machine emulator (EME), the collected voltage at the terminal of the motor controller (MCU) is resolved into the current. The output characteristics of a permanent magnet synchronous motor can be expressed by its voltage equation, torque equation and motion equation. For the traditional motor model, parameters including inductance, resistance, flux linkage, and damping coefficient are regarded as constants. But these parameters are variable during actual motor operation. The thesis conducted an in-depth analysis of the electromagnetic characteristics and the influencing mechanism of permanent magnet synchronous motors (including iron core magnetic saturation and cross-coupling, air gap magnetic field harmonic effect). And an electromagnetic model of a permanent magnet synchronous motor that takes into account the non-sinusoidal air gap magnetic field and the iron core magnetic saturation in the electric machine emulator is built.
