Power Network Modeling Method Based on the Combination of Physical Characteristics and Structure Characteristics in Mvar Control Space

With the substantial increase in the penetration rate of new energy, energy storage and flexible loads, the random volatility of grid operation has increased, and the control capabilities of traditional grid reactive power solutions have been limited. Aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional reactive power network topology modeling method in the process of matching the dual characteristics of source and load, this paper proposes a new power network modeling method in Mvar control space that integrates the physical characteristics of the power system and the structure characteristics of the grid. The method combines the different characteristics of the electrical distance in the voltage control zone and the shortest path and the edge betweenness in the complex network theory by defining an edge weight called "hybrid edge weight" to provide a scale for grid structure division. The article analyzes the characteristics of the hybrid edge weight parameters by taking the IEEE 9-node system as an example, and verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed modeling method.
