Semiconductor nanomembranes, as a new focus in nanomaterials family, possess unique properties. The ultra-small thickness makes the nanomembrane soft for flexible applications. The 3D assemblies of the semiconductor nanomembranes with microtubular geometry can effectively confined the light energy and thus lead to sensitive optical detector.
