Smart Outdoor Parking System: Case of Institute of Technology Bandung Parking Space

Nowadays, parking space is the main requirement for every vehicle owner. The increasing need for parking is not balanced with the existing parking conditions and parking space supply, especially for cars that require a large enough parking area. It makes finding a parking space wasting time and inefficient. In this article, will discuss the results of implementing and testing the smart outdoor parking system (case of Institute of Technology Bandung). Design, implementation and testing of the hardware and software that will be used for the smart outdoor parking system. From the results obtained, the smart outdoor parking system has succeeded in taking pictures, classifying each parking slot, providing processing results in the database, receiving input and processing it and providing recommendations for the closest parking to the input place. However, there are shortcomings that can be overcome in subsequent product development, such as the lack of power obtained by the solar panels during cloudy conditions all day long. This can be overcome by adding the WattPeak value to the solar panel.
