Analysis and Design of Multifunctional Filtering Power Dividers

A direct synthesis design technique of multi-band multi-port filtering power dividers (FPDs) with arbitrary phase distribution is presented. After a set of complete closed-form analytical equations are established for direct synthesis design, the proposed method is intensively described to reveal its powerful capacity in design of a multifunctional FPD with any prespecified responses (e.g. any order, number of bands, number of ports, phase distribution etc.), high multi-band isolations and matching. To validate this design concept, a triple-band three-port FPD with phase difference of 90° has been implemented. The performance of the newly designed FPD is demonstrated by simulation results.
