A Negative Depletion-Enhanced Filtration System for High-Purity Circulating Tumor Cell Enrichment from Whole Blood

This paper integrated size-based filtration and negative depletion (SF-ND) to improve the rare circulating tumor cells enrichment from the undiluted whole blood. The whole blood was firstly filtrated by a carefully designed micropore array filter. The captured cells were then released off and mixed with CD45 Dynabeads. CD45+ white blood cells were removed by a magnet and left target cells with a high purity. All operations were conducted in a home-made gadget.
