Numerical Modelling and Analysis of Circular Patch Antenna Array for Further Use Determination

Microstrip antennas are made on ceramic substrates or dielectrics, for example polystyrene, quartz or sapphire. In comparation to the other types of antennas, microstrip antennas have reduced dimensions, thus they are easy to integrate. The radiating patch can have a lot of shapes such as square, circular, rectangular, dipole, elliptical. This paper represents a study about the different parameters of the circular patch antenna arrays and the influence of the feeding and positioning on their functionality. The S parameter, directivity, specific absorption rate and efficiency are analyzed for 3 structures, considering also the influence of the dielectric material used.
