Design and Implementation of Intelligent Semiconductor Thermostat Based on Arduino MCU

In order to reduce Freon emissions from conventional refrigerators, the intelligent semiconductor thermostat based on Arduino is designed in this paper. The intelligent thermotank is a comprehensive complex system which integrates many functions such as semiconductor refrigeration/heating and temperature detection and display. The intelligent thermotank is controlled by Arduino MCU. The heating and refrigeration temperature can be set manually and the thermotank have perfect function of display and protection by collaboration of components. The detailed design procedure is presented in this paper, including hardware and software system. The functional and feasibility experiment results is given at the end of the paper which show the thermostat is stable and environmentally friendly.
