Comparative Study on Energy Efficiency Testing Methods of Different Types of Elevators

As a special equipment with high energy consumption, elevators currently do not have a unified energy efficiency detection method. In order to change it, the method of comparative study between the no-load method and the on-loaded method is adopted. Test research and analysis comparison were done for four common elevator types. Elevators with different rated speeds and rated loads are considered separately. The factors affecting elevator energy consumption are analyzed, and the operation mode is determined by the relationship between elevator speed and floor. The test results show that, regardless of the no-load or on-load test, the maximum and average operating power of the AC two-speed elevator is the largest, and the starting and braking power of the elevator is much larger than the operating power, which is consistent with the actual situation. The no-load test has the same conclusion as the on-load test, and the no-load method is safer, simpler and faster.
