Analysis of Failure to Start the Electric Heater of Diesel Generator in a Nuclear Power Plant

Aiming at the problem that the diesel electric heater fails to start automatically, through analyzing the main circuit equipment, remote control circuit and DC control circuit, the fault causes are determined by X-ray, energy spectrum analysis and simulation action test. Finally, the reason that the electric heater cannot start is the abnormal contact of relay (pollution or corrosion), and the contactor fails to pull in due to the increase of loop impedance.
