Study on Wear Calculation Method of curve gauge

Curve gauge is the core part of the forming mechanism of spring machine, which is mainly used for the forming of spring coil. According to the wear behavior of the curve gauge, a quantitative method to characterize the wear degree of the curve gauge is proposed. The forming process of the spring coil is further simulated by the finite element method. The stress-time history of the nodes in the wear area is discretized. Based on the modified Archard model, the wear depth in the working area of the curve gauge is calculated, and the total wear amount is further estimated. The results show that the quantitative method of wear degree and the estimation method of wear amount are of scientific significance, which can provide reference for further research.
