Research on Forest Fire Image Recognition Algorithm Based on Color Feature Statistics

In order to improve fire recognition, a forest fire feature extraction algorithm based on color feature statistics is proposed, which combines manual segmentation and statistics of the mean and variance of each channel in RGB color space to construct a Gaussian distribution probability density function. Set a reasonable threshold according to the probability density distribution of the fire area image, and then the threshold is used to judge the probability density of the sample image. Experimental results show that this method can quickly and effectively identify the flames of forest fires in complex scenarios.
