Validation of CW Doppler Radar Embedded Within Driving Seat For Heartbeat Detection Using NHA

In recent years, a large amount of research has been conducted on non-contact heartbeat detection. In particular, the use of radar for non-contact detection is effective for long-term monitoring. In this paper, we set driving seat to non-contact heartbeat detection using non-harmonic analysis (NHA). The proposed method has nearly no data length-based limitations in terms of frequency resolution. To validate the proposed method, we performed driver's heartbeat detection in a stationary state. We compared the conventional short-time Fourier transform and the proposed NHA method to derive the detectability of heartbeat harmonics.
