Circular polarization characteristics of dipole antenna using flat elements

Circular polarization (CP) is a polarization state in which the electric field vector rotates in a plane perpendicular to the wave's direction. This paper proposes a dipole antenna using flat plates for CP. It is necessary to combine the antenna's plurality to generate circularly polarized waves using a dipole antenna structure. The proposed antenna can still generate circularly polarized waves with one pair of a flat plate dipole antenna. The EM simulator completes the parametric study. It was found that LHCP (Left-Hand Circular Polarization) was radiated in both directions of the X-axis, and RHCP (Right-Hand Circular Polarization) was radiated in both directions of the Y-axis. A band with an axial ratio of 3 dB or less was obtained in the range of 6.35 to 9.35 GHz.
