Design of Hybrid Tapered TEM Horn for Radiated Immunity Test in Close Proximity

We have designed a wideband TEM horn with a hybrid structure comprising linear and curved tapered plates and optimized it for radiated immunity tests in close proximity as specified in the IEC standard. Analytical results of numerical simulations show that the proposed hybrid tapered TEM horn has wideband radiation characteristics covering a test frequency range of 380 MHz to 6 GHz and generates a homogeneous field while realizing downsizing.
