Research on Integrated MPPT Control and Online Monitoring System of Microsatellite

The power supply of the commercial aerospace microsatellite pursues a cost-effective system. To realize the intelligent autonomous control and management, a set of integrated MPPT control and online monitoring system based on DSP and LabVIEW is designed and developed, which consists of three parts: Superbuck charging module, MPPT control unit and monitoring unit. First, the Superbuck charging module contains the main power circuit and the data acquisition circuit, which realizes high-speed sampling and power conversion of the output parameters of the parallel PV array. Second, a fast and stable global maximum power point tracking algorithm based on voltage closed loop is proposed to solve the multi-peak problem of the PV array in the MPPT control unit. Third, the monitoring unit further analyzes the data based on CAN-bus protocol 2.0 to realize human-computer interaction. Experiments prove that this Integrated system can efficiently control and manage the output characteristics of the parallel PV array under different environments. Finally, the reliability of digital control under the circumstance of commercial aerospace is improved effectively.
