Characteristic Analysis and Application Study of Mach - Zehnder Cavity

Based on the working principle of The Mach - Zehnder interferometer, the characteristics of The Mach - Zehnder cavity are analyzed, and the logic gate of the Mach - Zehnder cavity is designed by combining the Mach - Zehnder cavity with the photonic crystal waveguide. The photonic band gap of the logic gate in TE mode and TM mode is analyzed by using the plane wave expansion method, and the input electromagnetic wave wavelength λ = 1.332 um of the logic gate is calculated. Then the electromagnetic waves with different conditions are input into the logic gate and the results are analyzed by FDTD method. The results show that the logic gate can realize or, same or different or logic, and the output port has high transmittance, high extinction ratio and short response time when the phase difference of the input electromagnetic wave and the signal of the control end and the input end meet the specific requirements. In this study, the characteristics of Mach - Zehnder cavity and photonic crystal waveguide are studied, which has certain reference value and guiding role in the study and application of Mach - Zehnder cavity in photonic crystal.
