High-resolution wind-wave model for the Sea Surface Wave Height forecasting and hindcasting

In this work, we present the implementation and validation of a fine-resolution multigrid wind-wave model system based on WAVEWATCH-III running at the National Super Computer Centre (NSCC) in Singapore. The model includes a 0.83km and 2.00km resolution rectilinear grids for Singapore Strait and Singapore region, respectively. Validation is performed for hindcast and forecast simulations comparing model results with satellite data and evaluating a set of statistical estimates and error metrics.
