A low-RCS microstrip antenna based on hybrid ground

To avoid adding extra structure or extra area to the antenna for reduce the radar cross section of the antenna, this paper propose a low-RCS antenna just by optimizing the ground of the antenna.The phase difference is constructed by the thickness of the substrate, and the low-RCS antenna is constructed by four units. The 2*2 antenna array has good radiation properties, it can work in 5.2-5.65GHz while the relative bandwidth is 8.3%, and its gain can reach 9.58dB at 5.4GHz. On the other hand, the radar cross section of the antenna also can reduce by about 8dB at 5.4GHz, and the radar cross section can be reduced in the band.
