A Dual-Band Rectifier with Characteristics of Wide Input Power and Wide Load Range

This paper proposes a dual-band rectifier with characteristics of wide input power and wide load range, which can be effectively used in environmental microwave electromagnetic energy harvesting. The rectifier is mainly composed of two identical branch rectifier circuits. Each branch rectifier circuit includes a matching network, a Schottky diode and a filter. The simulation results obtained by ADS 2017 software show that the highest RF-DC conversion efficiency of the rectifier at 0.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz can reach 73.2% and 71.2%, respectively. The measured results are basically consistent with the simulation results, further verifying the feasibility of the design in this paper. The rectifier has the characteristics of wide input power, wide load range, and high efficiency. Our work can be potentially applied to the Internet of Things, wireless sensor networks and radio frequency tags.
