Electricity Generation by Fast Moving Vehicles using Wind Turbine (Metro Rail)

The Present world needs a colossal quantity of energy for daily consumption which leads to exhaust of nonrenewable energy resources. Therefore, utilizing renewable energy resources in energy production is the principal challenge in the present world. The proposed idea is to produce electricity by utilizing the opposing wind forces created by the motion of the train. The wind energy will be converted into electrical energy using wind turbines that will be placed on top of the train's roof. The opposing wind force will turn the turbine which would be connected to a generator that will produce electricity. The electricity produced will be used for various loads in each compartment of the train. Here, in this paper, the mechanism of the wind turbine model has been simulated using MATLAB Simulink. The simulation has been done by assuming a certain scenario and the results have been showcased in a graphical form.
