Simulation Analysis of Transformer Fractional Fault Model Based on Simulink

The traditional integer-order model cannot accurately reflect the transient characteristics of the transformer, which brings difficulties to the accurate real-time fault detection of the transformer. Based on the fact that the actual capacitance and inductance are fractional in nature, this paper introduces a fractional-order calculus operator to establish a fractional-order simulation model for a transformer single-phase ground fault. Short-circuit current waveform obtained by simulation is compared with the short-circuit test data, which verifies that the fractional-order model is more accurate than the traditional integer-order to describe the short-circuit current character of transformer.
