Optimal Dispatch of Receiving-Side Power Systems Considering Peak Regulation of External Power

The ultra-high-voltage (UHV) external power meets the rapidly increasing load demand of the receiving-side power system. However, the peak regulation requiement of the receiving-side power system is not considered when transmitting the external power, which intensifies the peak regulation burden of the system. In order to enable the external power to implement peak regulation, the optimal dispatching model of the receiving-side power system considering peak regulation of external power is established. Firstly, the influence of external power on peak regulation ablility of receiving-side power systems is introduced. Then the conventional peak regulation units and the external power are modeled respectively considering their different characteristics. On this basis, the optimal dispatching model of the receiving-side power system is established to comprehensively optimize the output of the conventional peak regulation units and the external power. The effectiveness and availability of the proposed models is validated using the modified IEEE 30-bus test system.
