Multistage Heat-Storage Scheduling for Integrated Energy System Using CloudPSS-IESLab

Most integrated energy systems (IES) have kinds of energy storage devices for peak shaving, or profiting from the price variation between on-peak and off-peak. It requires an intelligent scheduling policy for these energy storage devices, which is usually a big issue for IES operation. In this paper, a case of IES with two-stage heat storage using water tank is studied, and to verify the feasibility of this energy cascade utilization form of the IES which could consume the renewable energy and utilize different grade heat energy. The case is simulated on CloudPSS-IESLab, which is a cloud-based platform for IES simulation. The result shows good function of peak shaving and advantages in economy by using two-stage water tanks, which are respectively storing water with high and low temperature.
