Application of Improve Whale Optimization Algorithm to the Distribution Network Reconfiguration with Distributed Generation

To improve the solution efficiency of the distribution network reconfiguration, a distribution network reconfiguration method is proposed to reduce the power loss and bus voltage deviation, which based on improve whale optimization algorithm and heuristic rule. Firstly, the heuristic rule is used to reduce the solution space. Then, the piecewise Logistic chaotic mapping and nonlinear adaptive weighting strategies are used to ensure population diversity and avoid algorithms falling into local optimal solution. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated on PG&E 69 bus system.
