An Active Power Control Strategy for Multi-source System Considering Section Safety Constraints

This electronic document presents a wind-photovoltaic-hydropower multi-source system active power control strategy, which is based on the section safety constraints. This strategy can improve the utilization ratio of the main transmission cross-section of the renewable energy grid with high permeability, so as to improve the generation efficiency of the renewable energy. Firstly, according to the principle of “Three-Open scheduling”, this paper puts forward reasonable control objectives and ideas. According to the section margin value, the corresponding power distribution methods are given for safety, early warning, critical buffer, and out of limit conditions. The section search method of “from outside to inside” is used to analyze the active control strategy of multi-layer nested sections. At the same time, the control strategy of this paper is integrated into the AGC system of wind-solarhydro master station, and the flow of command issuing and communication is introduced in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by an example of a power grid in Southwest China.
