Fault Identification and Protection Technology Based on Multi-source Information

It is the fundamental way to shorten the operation time of the failure and dead zone protection to apply the global information such as the action information, fault information, switch position information and DC commutation failure provided by the remote converter station to the failure and dead zone protection based on the global information. This paper analyzes the principle, logic and data demand of multi-source information-based station area failure protection, and puts forward a scheme of multi-source information-based station area failure protection to improve the operation speed of failure protection and avoid large-scale power loss.
