An Improved Simplified Soft Demodulation Algorithm for 64QAM Signal

M-QAM is very favorable in high speed communication systems, because it could enhance the frequency spectrum utilization. In this paper, we propose an improved simplified soft demodulation algorithm for 64QAM signal through fundamental principle and simulation analysis. The new algorithm optimizes the decision calculation rules, which greatly reduces the amounts of calculation with almost no system performance loss, and it has high practical value.
